 THE DUNBLANE BIG SING

Saturday 14th Sept 2024

Victoria Hall, Stirling Road, DUNBLANE

The Dunblane Big Sing is a fun day of singing in harmony for community singing groups and individual singers led by local singer and song tutor, Amy Lord. It includes workshops and performance space, and is an inclusive event for all those who enjoy singing.

After many years of working with various groups across Scotland – it has long been an ambition of Amy’s to work with a larger group to sing her song arrangements en masse and fill a room with harmony. The Dunblane Big Sing is the realisation of that ambition. There will be songs familiar to some singers, and some brand-new harmonies and arrangements to be learned for everyone.

The day runs from 10 a.m. until 5 p.m. (9.30am registration), and there will be refreshment breaks throughout, lunch break with performance opportunity and singing session, and recap sing-through at the end of the day.

All songs are taught by ear, so no need to be able to read music, although some sheet music and tracks will be available a month in advance. All are welcome, from beginners to experienced professionals, singers Amy's taught for years and those she hasn't met yet.

Tickets for The Dunblane Big Sing are £35, and this includes all tuition, a Dunblane Big Sing welcome pack, access to online materials and unlimited tea, coffee and biscuits! Further learning materials needed for the day will all be provided. Please bring your own lunch, or the welcome pack will include lists and maps of local eateries.

The Victoria Hall is a beautiful singing space in the heart of Dunblane and is fully accessible. There is plenty of on-street parking nearby, as well as the Hall being very close to rail links and bus stops.
